About

Once upon a time a very classy, wanna be photographer, Polish brunette packed all of her stilettos, designer handbags, and over priced jeans and headed for college in the midwest. When she arrived at the Catholic University surrounded by corn fields and cows she met a boy.

The boy, she thought was a foreign exchange student from Belgium. She was a seasoned traveler and a foreigner connoisseur. However, she was wrong. The boy was a dental student from Ohio. The very classy brunette in stilettos married the dentist boy and moved to another midwest city surrounded by corn fields and cows.

The very classy brunette was bored of corn and cows so she had a baby. This boy as the first child had enforced nap times, strict schedules, clean sheets, organic meals, and was enrolled in many extracurricular activites as an infant. The classy brunette read every parenting manual religiously and followed them feverishly. He is a sensitive boy that cries often but laughs more. He cares about everything and everyone around him. He is full of love.

When the first born was nine months old the new family of three moved further out into the corn fields. Nine months later they became a family of four. The middle child was born and their lives were never the same. She cried too much, didn't sleep enough, was constantly dirty, she talked too loud, she spoke too much, she laughed often, and all often to herself. She is a wild child, a firecracker.

The husband, an only child, was quite happy with a wife and two children. Together with the classy brunette they sold all their baby items on ebay for a profit of $510.83. That was the down payment for their VERY CLASSY dinning room table, chairs, buffet, and art work. This room was supposed to represent the end of childbirth. Nine months later, their third child was born. She is always dirty, rarely out of her pjs, always hungry, and so perfect. She watches the world around her and she is happy. She completes the picture.

Somewhere in between the children's birth, two very loud and obnoxious dachshunds entered the picture.

We live between a swanky Saks and an Amish Walmart in Ohio. This is our life. I blog for them in my third language - English. What a great excuse for any grammatical typos caused by anything lost in translation and the occasional glass of Syrah.

Found you through David's site. Congratulations on the award. Certainly the best and most clever "About Me" I've seen on the web. Guess I'll have to think about improving mune now.

Hi OhMommy,
I just found your site through my good friend and first blog love just jamie. I spent a gray Chicago morning with you and your family tales and fell in love...
You have made me laugh, cry and most importantly want to be a better mother. Thank you, thank you for warming my heart and letting me peek in on your sweet and lovely family life.
I will be back but (I agologize) most likely not commenting, though just jamie tells me I should as all you bloggers don't like the silent pop in and love to here from your fans. I will try but don't hold me to it. ;)
love, Courtney

I decided to stop over after being an avid fan of Kellan (on the upside.) She spoke so sweet of you and was very excited to meet you so I thought I'd see what all the hype is about. Funny, I live near some amish in Ohio too (well about 45 minutes.) It was nice meeting you and I plan to stop by again. Your family is lovely.
