Lola's 2nd birth announcements

So, you have decided to change your baby's name after sending out the birth announcements? Congrats on following your heart. You will not regret it. I have gotten many e-mails and many comments regarding this post.
So here you go folks ....Here is the poem I sent out to family and friends after I changed Emma's name to Lola.

We want to make sure everything with our precious little girl is just right.

The decision to change her name, has kept us up more than just one night.

Even before our son Jay was born, the name Lola captured our heat.

Now that our little baby girl is here ,naming her has been a troublesome art.

At only fourteen small weeks, she will have quite a big story to tell.

For a very short while, she was little Emma but now, "Lola" she can proudly yell.

It is our enormous pleasure to re-introduce our sweet baby girl as ....

Lola Emma BLAHBLAHBLAH last name.

I created it myself. I picked my favorite picture. Ordered it through http://www.shutterfly.com/ and made it into wallets. (4 wallets to a sheet) I cut out a larger then wallet sized gingham sheet to create a border for my beautiful daughter. And pasted it into a traditonal card - in which I printed the above poem in.

Ta-da... PERFECTION!

So beautiful, the name and the announcement. My last daughter was supposes to be names Cassidy and when I was in the hospital and went to name her, with my sister, husband and mother ... she ended up with the name Alexis. I love the name Alexis, but in the back of my head I always wish I had stuck with the name I originally wanted for her. Take care and see you soon. Kellan

Better to change it now than go through life wishing you had. I love the name Lola. Very creative way of sending out the 2nd birth announcement.

I love the name, "Lola!" Good decision, and you carried off the announcement in a great way.

To answer the ? on my post... It’s a Kodak Easyshare DX7630, 6.1MP, 3Xoptical zoom. Got it in 2004. Waiting on a new Canon that I ordered that's backordered for weeks. *sigh* :-)

With my first daughter, we just absolutely couldn't decide what to name her. We going back and forth between two names. The nurse was standing there waiting for me to hand her the thingie where I was supposed to write her name and DH and I were still arguing. They should totally give you a waiting period.

LOVE the name Lola. It's sassy and sweet. I couldn't read the type on your announcement - bummer - it's like -4 point size. :( I'm sure it's fabulous though.

Lola is my daughter's blogging identity. Love the name too - just not really her real name.

Monice - the picture of the poem isn't meant to be read - I retyped the poem and placed it above the picture so everyone can read.
