What happened to all of my sick days?

To whom this may concern,

Give me a break. Why must every member of our family, except for our Dauschund, be sick? Today is Friday, the day I usually get some time off to relax. Now I have to tend to three sick children, a Christmas pageant at their school, lunch with the in laws, AND a sick husband with no pain threshold lying around the house. Seriously, just give me a break. I am sick too.

My head feels like it is stuck in a vice grip. My bones are tired and my muscles are weak. My body rested for a total of 3.5 hours last night. My nose is draining and someone has stolen all of my fancy tissues.

What happened to all of my personal sick days I accumilated from years of teaching? I need them today. I would like to ask for a childless and husbandless sick day.

Warmly,
OHmommy

PS. Yes, I will have my assignment entitled, "My 100 Things" completed ontime by Monday, as this is my 99th post.

I found the tissue.

NEWSFLASH: at 9:12 am E.S.T... Everyone including the Dauschund is sick. Now I have to scrub my carpet clean of his diarrhea.

My husband's family swears by matza ball soup to cure the cold. I prefer to swig a bottle of Nyquil and stay under the covers till the cold goes away. Guess that is sort of out of the question now that I have kids, huh?

I feel your pain- just about literally!!
Definitely go with the chicken soup..tell the husband to suck it up, he's not dying (that's what I told mine), and put one of the baby's diapers on the Dachshund. The nyquil could make it all go away too!

If nothing else, that picture is just too cute!

Oh man, I FEEL for you! The dog!? That is almost as bad as a sick husband. Yeah, I think sick husbands are way worse than sick kids. I had a sick husband and one sick kid last week (I was lucky), and my husband was WAY more miserable to be around. At least my sick kids are still sweet and friendly, my husband get just plain ole miserable.

Oh pumpkin - sorry you're sick (like the rest of us) - join us in our misery and husband-hating - I've had to sleep on the couch twice this week due to the husband's cold-inspired snoring that's like a freight train. Feel better... all of you.

I hope you guys are feeling better soon! Yikes, having everyone in the house sick at the same time should seriously me against the law!!

Sending you healing vibes~~~ and soft fluffy tissues!!

oh No! The Dog too?!? You deserve to check into a hotel and be sick in peace.

P.S. Glad you found the tissue.

About the best I can offer is school district issued tissue (which, if you worked for a school district like mine, could be substituted for paper in a pinch)...

If that doesn't work, pass the family over to Gardener, give Pharmacist a ring-a-ding, tell Cook to handle the dinner and holiday program, and be on your jet headed for your private island retreat in time for a late lunch. Simple AND Classy.

(Ok, a pathetic W&G reference, but wouldn't it be NICE?)...

Hope you all feel better soon!

Oh no! I'm so sorry for you. The only thing harder than taking care of sick children is taking care of sick children (and pet) while you are sick. Blahhh. Poor you. I hope everyone feels better soon.

No! Moms don't get to be sick. Nuh-uh, noway, no how.

That is why we pray for pnemonia and end up in the hospital. Talk about a dream vacation!

Seriously. I HATE being sick as a mom, because you can't just give in to it and lie around and moan and be SICK. You have to still make breakfast and lunch and make sure the kids aren't drawing on walls somewhere in the house. Misery. I hope you are feeling better soon.
