Home sweet home

Yesterday was our first full day in Ohio, at home, since before the holidays. I didn't have the energy to tackle this project:
Nor did I have the energy to tackle this re-stocking project:

Today my kids are hungry and wearing last season clothes. Heh.
.
We have twelve inches of snow. It is about 17 degrees. Heh. I don't have the energy to tackle getting three kids dressed to grocery shop.
.
On the upside: I turned our thermostat up to 72 degrees, found the number to our favorite pizza shop, closed the door to our bedroom where our luggage is, and am blasting some happy music to fill our house. It will be a good day here in Ohio.

Just looking at those pics sends my stress levels up a couple of notches. Good luck getting settled back into your life.

That sounds like a perfect plan!

Can I tell you a secret?? We still have a suitcase with our kids clothes in it from our trip to the beach this past summer. I never unpacked it because the clothes never really fit when they got back!! I choose to ignore it each time I walk into my son's room and see it "hidden" in the corner!

Happy New Year!

That sounds like a great plan to me!!
Enjoy the pizza and the happy music! The kids are more important, cleaning can happen anytime!!

I think I found your blog through Kellan's. Anyway, I agree...call the pizza guy and relax. That's my kind of day. We don't have the snow, but it's about 21 degree here in Idaho today. I'm not going anywhere!

Welcome home, pizza sounds like a good plan. I don't blame you for not wanting to deal with the unpacking, boring.

And can I say I have refrigerator envy. The refrig and how clean it is inside.

It does sound like the perfect day! My girls and Daddy had a day just like that yesterday and really enjoyed themselves.

Good to see you back!

Word. Up.

I could NEVER take a photo of the inside of my fridge. You'd all stop reading me in sheer digust.

Oh, and that pile in picture one. F that pile. It can wait.

(Hey, can a girl say F over here?)

Happy New Year - BTW!

My fridge is empty too!! I have no plans to restock until I kick this cold. So, my kids are going to be eating ketchup and italian dressing sandwiches until I feel better ;)

Good attitude! I need to adopt your attitude more often.

I usually get overwhelmed by the mess and stuff that needs to be done. I know the cleaning will get done and will usually take less time than I thought, so why do I stress? I don't know!

Unfortunately, where I live (hicktown, USA) we can't even get a pizza delivered because we are too far away! I like the country, but definitely miss that convenience!

Hooray for that decision!! I don't have the energy to tackle my laundry either. Mine is worse and we didn't even go anywhere. Boo.

Glad you are home in one piece and that you are blasting happy music. Sounds delightful!!

Oh gosh, I can so relate. We are still recovering from our trip to Vegas LAST WEEK. The laundry, it frightens me.

My laundry looks like that, and I didn't even go anywhere :)
Don't you almost have a crush on the pizza guy? I mean seriously, they bring hot dinner that tastes delish - what's not to love???

Yay! Welcome back to life after the holidays. My house is filthy. My fridge is that empty (but dirtier) and we never went anywhere. Oh well. I really need to start on those resolutions I keep thinking about. Glad you're back!

It always takes me at least a week to unpack! Really when you get home, you just want to be! Sounds like you have a good plan. But your pic reminds me that I have a fridge in desperate need as well!

Not only do I have a big old stack of dirty laundry hanging out in the laundry basket, but I actually propped my six month old baby into it today, with a few toys, so she would not fall over or crawl away while I blogged. The worst part is that I don't even feel guilty about it.

BTW, glad your back to blogging, today. I missed ya.

OH I still haven't touched my bags of laundry from our travels. I did make it to the store but I had one little cart with a gigantic play car on the front to hold both girls. It could only hold so much so we only got the essentials. (milk, bread, chocolate)
I like your idea of cranking the heat and ordering Pizza. I think you solved dinner for tomorrow night.

I've never done that. Nope, not once. Not even when I didn't go on vacation....
