Stop the Press!

Next to my computer I have a sheet of paper with nearly a dozen scribbles. All of them are future blog posts. Add to that Lola's doctor checkup, her weekend birthday party, Jay's ponderings, getting lost on the way to the zoo, our first Spring bike ride with awesome pictures, and some new spiritual epiphanies and my one sheet of paper has turned into a collection of scribbled papers. This blog can not keep up with my chaos.

However. I need to stop the press for now.

Something happened.

Something REALLY happened.

Something so life altering happened to me on Sunday. My life, as I know it, will never be the same. On Sunday, Fifi became an official toddler.

Hear me weep?

That is the best! LOVE the video. On the bright side, two and three are the best ages ever; I absolutely love the way kids think at that age. You are in for more fun.

And yes, I realize that it's still tough to kiss the baby years goodbye, but look at it this way; some day, you'll be a grandma, and you can do it all over again :)

So Cute!

I love toddlers. I love babies too, but there is something REALLY sweet about a small person toddling around we no apparent goal. they are so proud of their walking abilities and want to practice as much as they can.

Amy said...

so precious! =)

LunaNik said...

I'm laughing and crying along with you. First steps are so joyous and so sad all at the same time, aren't they?!

April said...

Yay for Fifi!!! What a sweetie!

Jeni said...

Isn't that fantastic when the little ones take their first steps though? And what I think is equally fantastic or even amazing is how a couple months after that happens, you'll find parents saying they wish the child hadn't learned to walk cause they get into too much mischief that way and the same phenomenon applies to the first word and then comes the vocabulary, full blown, ya know. We grownups just can't be pleased, no matter what, sometimes now can we?
But overall, it is an event to be so happy and excited over all the same! Congrats to Fifi!

Rachel said...

Awe, look at Fifi walk. That's too darling. Awe.... I love that video and the laughter is just amazing.
