Tena said...

Wowzer, you kept up good, I think I would have gave up like a minute into it! Wit woo! Your a dancing queen! I see Jay dances like the monkey's here at this house, maybe it is a boy thing??

Clare said...

FUn times! Love the boots and the music, sounds so familiar!

I'm jealous, YouTube wouldn't let me post a video of my baby K dancing to the Jonas Brothers!!

Maybe if she were wearing those boots! ;)

Anonymous said...

haha!!! do they EVER take off those dresses? Mine doesnt! i love the wings, and Fifi's crown! Very classy! Good to see the dog exercising too...chester would be jumping on me!!

Rhea said...

Ok, your house, beautiful.
Your boot, hawt.
Your girls in delicate pink dresses, adorable.
Jay, hilarious. Y
our barking weiner dog, also hilarious.

This was GREAT!

lattemommy said...

What is it about being a kid that means "dancing" requires that a parent swing you about wildly in the air? That's all my kids want, too. By the end of our little dance sessions I'm so dizzy I could puke.

Adorable. I haven't tried it in heels, but now I'm gonna have to. ;)

Zoeyjane said...

You are so much more braver than me. But, also? Totally needed is a Dancin' on Camera with Your Kiddos blog carnivale. Yahuh? Uhuh!

Mr Lady said...

You. Are. Hysterical.

And if you lived here, we'd have Dance Dance Revolution all the time.

And that corner of your house is cleaner than any corner of mine has ever been.

Eve Grey said...

We do this too! Although we have lights out and blast a video on youtube. Their favourite is anything Abba! We call it "Dance Party!".

Anti-Supermom said...

We do this too - but the kiddos are generally naked. We call it 'the nakey dance'.

And no, I will not be putting that on YouTube.

Rachel said...

OH MY GOSH! That is AWESOME!!! So "that's" what I need to do to stay in shape.

I was absolutely rolling while watching this; I love how Jay would make sure to jump in front of the camera! Oh and the dog! The dog was PRICELESS!

I need to make sure my husband sees this -- this might help give me another way to convince him that we need more kids. IT'S FOR THE BENEFIT OF OUR HEALTH! ;)

CRigg said...

how fun! OK, what is that song and who sang it? it's a great cheesy dance song.

Miss said...

I vow, here and now, that we will one day dance together on that floor. Properly drunk of course. Camera's optional.

I thought you were going to drop the Feenster there for a sec!! And Murphy? Coolest. Dog. Ever.

Laski said...

You are gutsy. That's a good thing. Really.

And, I sorta thing you all were freaking out the pup!

The kiddies are awesome . . . so talented! Hmmm...where do they get it from? Mommy, WATCH!

Now, I want to DANCE!

Putting the FUN in DysFUNctional said...

You rock my socks off!
LOOOOVE the dog too...of course!

OMG - that is great - but how do you do that in high heels??? The whole gang was having fun - love it!

kim-d said...

That made me want to come to your house and dance/exercise with all of you. And that is something, because usually NOTHING makes me want to exercise :).

I especially loved Fifi, kickin' it and totally keepin' up with the big kids, then collapsing at the end.

I think you have to be one of the coolest, classiest Moms ever!

Megan said...

This was hilarious! I am so going out to buy a pair of hawt workout boots!!! My husband will thank you!

(sooo... your hubs is a dentist in NEO... so is my dad - we should compare notes!)

Isn't it funny how out of breath we get doing that or is it just me ?

Anonymous said...

Okay, so I got tired just from watching...

The sweet sounds of Miley Cirus lured my kids away from their morning day-off TV and inspired our own dance party!

Marinka said...

You all look great! Why is everything so clean and neat? Did you guys just move in?

Lisa said...

The dog - cracking me up! The girls all glamourous - fabulous! Jay....too cute! And you now have a whole new "boot camp"!

Flea said...

Love the wagging tail. :) I remember dancing like that with my kids at those ages, without the heels. It was so much fun!

Indy said...

You could charge for leading a class like this. All the moms could come and dance.

haniaski said...

OMG,looks like fun, fun. U R one hot mama

Stephanie said...

the funniest thing was the dog barking, like what the CRAP is going on?! Good exercise routine. I've definitely going to follow suit. Good quality time with the kids, good quality time with my oversized butt.

MommyTime said...

This is awesome. My best friend and I in high school used to show up sometimes at each other's houses to go out and burst out laughing because we were wearing the exact same thing. Or realize that she was wearing the outfit I'd tried on first and rejected, and vice versa. We should make a dance video TOGETHER in our boots :)

Also, can we just talk for a minute about mortification?? My husband shoots a video in what is quite possibly the messiest corner of our house, and I don't think twice about posting it, while you shoot a video that proves that your house actually looks like the inside of a magazine. *sigh* Well, at least the good news is that if we meet up for a playdate, you won't have to be horrified by the state of my house because we'll have to meet at a neutral halfway point. So at least you won't have to be repelled by me over messiness. Thank goodness!

Kelly said...

So cute...looks like the dog wanted in on the action too!!

I love dancing around the house with the boys too, I just don't think I could do it in heels!

Mandy said...

That was so much fun watching you all dance like crazy.

I told my hubby not too long ago "I wonder if other families dance like crazy in their living rooms like we do".

Now I see that they do!!!

That was such a refreshing post and it makes me motivated to have a dance session at the house now.

Funny, as I am typing this my Hubby and youngest daughter are dancing to the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse song. Ha-ha!!!

It keeps us young. :)

That is definitely a way to burn calories. Love the song and the dog. The boots were "sassy"!

Elizabeth Byler Younts said...

wicked love this post.

you know, dr phil said last week that dancing is a stress reliever...you are now completely destressed, isn't that great? :-)

love it! will have to try it...even though I strained a hamstring on picking up the laundry basket yesterday!

Stephanie said...

We totally do this all the time, too... only you look about 20 times cuter than I do, and I always pop in latin music dance tracks from my college days. (I was a spanish teaching major.) Luckily my kids still love it even when mom looks like a frumpy pajama dancing queen.

Congratulations on making me accidentally listen to my first Miley Cyrus song ever. :)

Courtney said...

LOVE IT! Jay is quite the breakdancer!

Don Mills Diva said...

I LOVE how the dog kept coming in the scene and trying to get you guys to knock it off!

Woman! I can't blame Wall Street, Main Street, underqualified borrowers, lack of regulation or any other entity BESIDES OhMommy for my financial crisis. Seriously- the fantastic shoes you keep posting are killing me! (Okay, I really haven't bought any of them except in my dreams...)

I am loving the SAHM excercise classes. About the only thing that is shape on me right now are my fingers from spending so much time blogging. I am going to implement your workout routine immediately.

I absolutely love the boots! that's the same way I exercise on a daily basis, dancing and playing with the kids. girl, you were gettin your groove on!

Mama Smurf said...

That's it. I'm cancelling my boot camp and purchasing myself a pair of red heel boots instead. That looks like a much more enjoyable way to burn calories. And the boots are HAWT.

You are such a cool mom. I LOVE impromptu dance parties but would never actually remember to video it! Love how you got all the kids in on the act and even Murphy got some air time. Jay's got some rad moves!!!

I'd give you all 10s, but I'm gonna have to doc you a point for the lifts when it came to Lola - I did see her feet come off the floor a few times!

Twirling toddlers and dancing with the kids in our kitchen is my favorite exercise. . . well, next to riding a beach cruiser around Palm Springs with my shopping bags hanging from the handle bars! :)

I need a sleep after that.

I'm interested, but I have have reservations. I mean, I like the fact that I can eat processed chicken nuggets, but the heels? It'll take me a little while to get used to them. Plus, I have bad ankles...
