"Hola. Hola. Hola." The almost two year old Fifi screamed around the house today as we were unpacking. She screamed "Hola" and "Gracias" and "Por Favor" up until we had to step outside to fight the newest Cleveland snow storm in which her Spanish suddenly turned into English, "Chilly, chilly, brrrrr......"
"Yuck. Yucky... brrrr.......!!!"
Minutes later she begged for, in Polish, for her "schmatka" (aka. lovie) to bring her comfort and shield her from the Cleveland snow. "Schmatka, Mama... brrrr....."
I realized how quickly children adapt. I have so many beautiful stories to share from our vacation. But for now, I am following in my children's shadows and learning how to adapt back to real life.

We're taking our first ever family vacation this September. We can hardly wait.
What long legs you have! :D
This weather makes you want to pack up and move to the Equator, doesn't it!
Im so jealous! Id love a vacation right about now.
This picture is so cute...great idea!
Oh, I am so happy you guys got to kick back and relax like that. I hope we can do something like that in a couple of years, but Florida will have to do for now. :o)
What an abrupt transition back to snow, though. Ick. I can almost hear Fifi running around babbling in Spanish - how cute! Glad you got back safely - the pics were great!
Love the picture...glad you had a good time!
Sounds like my kind of vacation. Next time I'm hiding in your suitcase!
Sounds like a great time.
Three languages? A girl could only be so lucky!
I do agree with you - 'all inclusives' are a great way for a family to vacation together - provided you pick the right place to go to. Apparently- you did. Well done. Sorry the weather is so sucky - one always hopes to be able to drag the lovely vacation weather back home with them - but it almost never works out that way.
I'm glad you had a good time and all but sure am glad you're back - I missed you!
So glad you are back safely, sorry it was freezing cold and snowing!
I had to chuckle - in Yiddish the term "schmata" (or some similar spelling has always had the meaning of something old and ragged (can be clothes - this old schmata?") or whatever, but it would make sense that it has such a close "cousin" word in Polish that you use for lovey.
My learning for the morning!
I'm glad you made it back safely and had such a great time. It sounded so relaxing. That zoo sounded awesome too!
What a rude awakening... from tropical paradise to artic snow/slush!
Warmth.... Ahhhh....
Hope you're having a FABULOUS time!
What a great vacation! Truly realxin'! Love the pictures! Glad you're back!
It sounds like you and the family had a wonderful time! Glad you're back and safely at that. Cute picture! I can't wait for more and stories as well!
Welcome back! You've got some long legs lady! :)
Sorry you had to come back to this! Love the picture of the 5 of you.
I just read your recap & I am taking the girls to FL/Disney World in March. It was a last minute decision & I am traveling for the same reason. I can, who knows what's going to happen soon, but right now, I am going to seize the opportunity. We are going for very cheap though because my cousin lives close to Disney & has twins that are 2 years older than my oldest. We are staying with them & her kids couldn't be more excited for "people from ohio that I know are coming to stay at my house." Others do too, but these are people their age. We can't wait! They come to Ohio two times a year so it is a change for them.
Awesome! So, where exactly did you stay? Which resort?
Would you mind telling us which resort you stayed at? (I would love to hear what other all-inclusive family-friendly resorts you would recommend. Our youngest is almost a year old, and we're itching to travel.) Thank you so much! I love your blog!
Welcome back!!
Must be hard to come back to the cold. Looking forward to reading the recap!
Polish? Are you Polish? ME TOO!!!! I didn't know Cleveland had Polish people! I thought we were all in NE Minneapolis and Chicago! I have learned something new today!
Love the picture!! Glad to see you guys got back all in one piece!
sounds like you all had a wonderful time.
I know you mounds of email to sort through-but I sent ya one more.
Looks and Sounds Glorious! Welcome back!
I seriously thought about you last night...
Mexico...Mexico...I wonder if OHmommy is still in Mexico...I wanna be in Mexico...Mexico...
Haha. Glad you're back! Can't wait to read up on the happenings!
welcome back!!!!
Glad you all made it back...sounds like you had a wonderful trip!! Good luck getting settled.....it is always tough coming back to reality after a great vaca:)

Such a cool photo. Can't wait to hear and see more about it! Welcome Home (snow and all...)

Yay for family vacations and photos, lots of photos!
Welcome Back!!

I as good as booked an all-inclusive to Mexico last night after reading your article. It was just great and totally inspiring. Yeah, why not travel now...who knows where we'll be next year. Awesome! September for us - right after 2 days in Disney for the girls 4th b-day :)
Loved your article! The pictures are gorgeous! It sucks to come back from Mexico to horrible weather. The same thing happened to us, we came back and the next day it snowed, which here in Seattle shuts everyone down we can't drive in it :)
These are beautiful pictures. Thanks for sharing and I am so glad you are back. What a wonderful trip!
