Uncomfortable topics

"I want to be Katherine's flower girl. Soon. Today. Now!" Lola was the first to greet my sister's boyfriend at our Thanksgiving dinner. Uncomfortable? Yes.

"Why are there no kids invited to your Christmas party? You need to have kids so I can come to your party too. Make some kids!!!" Lola grills my best friend's husband when we visited the childless couple in their chic downtown pad. Uncomfortable? Yes.

Words are like toothpaste. Easy to get out and hard to return. Have an uncomfortable topic you need/want surfaced? Find a dramatic three year old to handle your toothpaste.

It doesn't get any better. I have a 5 year old that has a knack for that kind of stuff, too.

Love the toothpaste analogy.

"Out of the mouths of babes" is a very popular saying for a reason, I suppose. Thanks for a good laugh. :)

I love the boyfriend comments!!! I'm finding more and more that my 2 year old repeats EVERYTHING I say. I'm going to start programming him to make comments to our neighbors...HAH!
Kids are great! :)
