Saturday night 7:00 pm. Kids with grandparents. Husband and I are out for the night. It has been 8 months since our last social outing with grownups, in the evening.
Note: the previous owners of our house gave us a carpet allowance. We cashed it in for a beautiful dinning room buffet and got the carpets professional cleaned. In these pictures you can see both: the beautiful buffet and the crappy carpet. Which one would you choose - new buffet or new carpet?

for sure...the buffet! when we moved into our house, 3 years ago...all we did was clean the carpet. and, we still haven't replaced it.

What's funny about this is you look equally happy in both pictures. In the first one, your smile says, "Holy crap! I get to go OUT and be a real person tonight!", and the second one is mid-laugh while the kiddos use you as a jungle gym. Both are great smiles!
