Dear Wesley,
I am sorry for calling you a "poopie-head" at our playdate. Here is a picture of you shooting some hoops. Maybe you can come over and shoot hoops with me. I will never call you a poopie-head again.
Jay
After yesterday's playdate we drew a picture, wrote a letter, and prepared it for mailing to Wesley's house. After writing his first letter of apology, Jay asked ... "now, can I write a letter of love to my other boyfriends?"

I have an idea...someone could make a BUNCH of money if they publish an updated book as a follow-up to Art Linkletter's "Kids Say the Darndest Things"...the world of today is oh-so-much different than the world of the 50's.
Seriously I almost spilled my soup while reading your post. All I can say is "OMG"...which is why I enjoy your writing so very much! :)
LOL! A poopiehead...my other boyfriends. Sheesh, this is priceless.
HA! Jay has seriously gone up more than a few notches in my book. I LOVE that!
P.S. It's my inclination to have my kids write letters of apology or thanks all the time. They both write random letters all the time now to grandmas and aunts and uncles and friends. I like it.
hehehe...his other boyfriends...so funny!
but it is very nice that he wrote a letter of apology.
This was the most precious story, picture and comment he made at the end!!! I loved this post. Thanks for sharing it. Kellan
LOL. LOVE it. Oh I needed a good laugh. You funny. And so is Jay.
Mr. J... hmmm... no soup for you!
Melissa... priceless indeed.
Cecily... we will be writing letters often, what a great thing to teach our kids.
Lunanik... he had no choice, I refuse to have a brat as a child.
Kellan... thanks, I always love your posts!
Monica... funny indeed, but necessary.. poopie head is a BAD word.
Too funny! My little guy got a note like that from one of his friends. The other little boy bit our son, and drew him an apology note! My son treasures that note!
HA! Love it.
Cute! I remember getting into a fight with my best friend and throwing her jacket over the fence when I was that age...
I had to do my own poopiehead letter.
This is so sweet! It's great to see kids writing (drawing) letters of any kind these days! It's quickly becoming a lost art form. I LOVE that he also wanted to write "love" letters!
