One year after getting married we started to "settle down." My husband and I purchased a teeny tiny bungalow on the city's edge and painted the front door a vibrant red. We played house all spring and when summer arrived we asked each other, "What's next?"
"Do you want to have kids?"
"Naaawww. Not yet."
"Good. Me neither. Not yet."
The feelings were mutual, so my dog loving husband convinced me, the-not-so-much-an-animal-lover, that the first step in filling our new home should be with the purchase of a dog.
"Let's see how we can handle a dog. Okay?"
In came Murphy. We were DINKs with a daschund. Murphy ate well, he slept well, he was the king of the tiny fixer-upper castle.
Then came Jay. Shortly thereafter, Lola followed. And suddenly, Murphy was no longer the king of the castle. Until. Until both my chickadees started to eat on their own. They would sit in their high chairs and burst out in fits of giggles when Murphy scrambled around to eat their leftovers off of the floor.
It became such a hysterical routine that Murphy was locked up during feeding time.
Lately. Both my husband and I have noticed that Murphy has thinned out a lot. We keep food in his bowl and now we have THREE CHICKADEES to add to the hysteria. He should be well fed. There is still plenty of food on the kitchen floor.
However, there is someone that is faster than our dog. There is someone that is sometimes lovingly neglected, when we are rushing off to the next play date, pool party, tennis lesson and can't sit around waiting for her toddler meal to be completed.
The third child.
Check out what she says when one piece actually makes it into her mouth, without falling to the floor. "YUMMY!"
Oh Fifi. My sweet beautiful Fifi. I adore everything about you. I love the way you make me giggle out loud. You are so incredibly yummy, funny, and terribly adorable. I can't wait to see how you turn out. I am positive you will not disappoint.

So SO adorable!!
I can totally hear the love in your laughter at the end. It says everything that you typed at the end of this post. It was just lovely.
I nannied for a family that had two beagles that went NUTS everytime I fed the baby in the high chair. They sat and patiently waited for the baby to drop, spit or throw food on the floor and they ate well. It was hilarious.
Your children are just so adorable and sooo cute. Love em! Thanks for sharing them with us.
OH Mommy, this is just so cute! Little Fifi is just too precious for words. She waits so patiently for a bit, what an adoring little sister! Thank you for sharing:) Clare
awwwwwww!!! Yum yum!
So cute!!! Look at those cheeks! Very Polish cheeks, I might add!
I hope she marries my little GG... how cute would those two little Polish cheeky babies be together!
so...talk about incredibly adorable!
EEeeeek! The cuteness overwhelms me. No one in my house is that patient, lol. What a sweetie!
can she possibly get any cuter?? both of them are just adorable.
xoxoxo
That was rediculously cute. Toile dress included, of course!
Ahhhhh!!!! I can't even stand it!!! They are too freaking cute!!!
Oh what amazingly sweet little girls! That is just the most adorable clip!!!!!
: ) Jen
She is adorable.
I wanted to thank you, too, for your very sweet comments on my head photos for your challenge. You made me feel so good. I can't wait to read more tips and take more challenges from you. I am sure I will learn so much! Thank you for making the time. ((hugs))
Oh, sweet Fifi. I love the way she looks at her sister or the food . . . whatever. She has the look of adoration (or hunger). Sweet video.
So cute!! Those caboose children learn to be so quick!!
Too adorable! I love that she eats off the floor! Poor little puppy. At least Fifi's not eating the dog food like my middle child did. :)
That is so cute. Poor Murphy though no more scraps for him.
aww, what a sweetie.
LOL!! That is too hilarious! A darling little girl for sure! :)
Although I've been a reader for awhile, this is my first time commenting. I LOVED this post!!! The the girls are precious, and the video was TOO cute. I'm not sure that my dachshund agrees, however. Freddy was dead asleep until he heard Murphy bark, and then he tried to "attack" the computer. He couldn't figure out why there was another dog in his house!!
I just had to share!!
:0) Ms. H
Too cute! Love the video.
And I just have to be the animal nerd here.
If you really think Murphy is losing weight, he may need a vet visit. My sister's cat started losing weight and they learned that he had diabetes.
xoxo
Your beautiful family is bringing tears to my eyes.
Is she just the cutest or what??
I just love what you wrote to her at the end of the post!
Are you the cutest or what either!
Seriously, love you guys!
ha ha... too cute!
yum yum is totally going to be my word of the day tomorrow. Blame cute "fifi."
"Num, num" I am glad she beat the good old 5-second rule, as well as the daschund! :)
The dog barking during the vid. is the best part!
poor puppy. Send him here cause Boo leaves food all over the floor all the time.
Oh and my ovaries? Totally releasing eggs all over the place with the cuteness.
So cute!
If only my daughter could be faster than our daschund! My dog is a complete fiend since Ciara was born. She actually pulled her off my lap one time taking food out of her hand.
(I should probably explain that my dog is also half rotty and quite strong)
Your daughters are absolutely adorable though.
Fifi is so sweet and adorable. I love how she beat Murphy to the punch.
They are soooooo precious!!!!
Poor puppy--he tried, still.
They looked very cute :)
so freaking cute, I couldn't help but let a giggle escape when Fifi walked right up to imitate you. Such sweetness.
Awww....soo cute. I remember days like that...
Oh how I LOVE that age...that age when every.single.thing they do and say is cute and funny.
That is cute. And funny. And they are adorable.
This is one of the cutest things I have ever seen - adorable!
There is something about the youngest child, isn't there. Something special. Something magical. Only now, that I can witness this magic with my own eyes do I understand why my baby sister got so much attention growing up.
Absostinkin'lutely darlin'.
Those two are something else :-)
That is way to cute. I am positive those children will not dissapoint you!
Could she be any cuter?
Your kids rock. That is all.
That is so cute. Poor girl had to eat off the floor to get any food!
Awww! I was getting ready to jump through the computer and feed her myself; she was waiting so patiently, such a little sweetheart.
I know I have probably told you this before, but...
I . love. your. stories!
My story would have been:
Fifi eats food off the floor faster than Murphy.
The End.
Your story: Perfect in every way.
I love it!
Favorite part? That when it falls on the ground she just picks it up- like everything is normal. And she moves fast- to beat the dog to it....hey nice table set too!
Nie veli me 'mnum mnum' isto!!
Tvojte cupina se MNOGO LICNI! Aj da se svatime!!
(let me know if that needs any translating, dear)
Fifi is so cute. And patient. My boys would have never tolerated food being consumed by another without a demand to 'SHARE!!'.
Seriously, How do you not just EAT THOSE LITTLE CHEEKS UP???
I couldn't help but notice how strikingly QUIET your house was. Where was Jay?
KEEP BELIEVING
I love your accent!!! And your kids are adorable!! and I think the dog is mad.
Not only is she adorable, but very patient, too! Jr. would be screaming his head off if his sister was teasing him with food like that!
Wyatt does what we call the 'happy dance' when he gets food. Our boy can eat.
That video is way too cute~
How adorable. I love that little fifi. But I admit...I feel sorry for the poor dog who is starving to death...lol!
She is quick to the jump. The dog doesn't have a chance.

Your girls are adorable!!
I can't believe Murphy was quicker on the draw!
Oh that is so adorable and she IS faster than the dog!! I bet he's bummed about that! HA!
that is so funny! I can't believe you can gets your girls to eat those fruit cups! My girls won't even open their lips for those cups!! Off the floor - awww - never - I hate my dog!! You must be easy going!!
So adorable. And I know how fast dachshunds are... and how food obsessed too!
Did Murphy have a hard time adjusting to babies and kids? I sometimes worry about mine. I guess we first need to get her out of the puppy stage, destroying everything!
she IS faster than a speeding dog! how funny and cute! I hope we are as lucky as you with your beautiful children!
Yum, yum, is right! Your girls are precious.
Poor Murphy, not getting any action there was he?!!
First off, do you realize that Fifi is starting to look like a big girl? It's the hair I think. So big girl!!!
Second, you need to produce more children. They are just too, too cute! And how sweet is Lola feeding her? I mean, sugary sweet!!!
What a lovely life! Know my Goosey watched that video & wanted to know who those "sweet little girls" were. Sweet indeed!
Fifi and Lola are both so yummy. I LOVE fifi's cheeks! Oh and Loa's dress...so cute!!!!
KIm
Absolutely adorable! I just want to pinch those little cheeks!
Kimmy
I just want to squeeze the cuteness! I love that teeny tiny ponytail.
