Flipping Frogs.... I was on TV this morning.

Phew.

I can finally exhale. I have been a nervous wreck for the last couple of days, leading up to my interview. Susanne Horgan, the Good Morning Cleveland reporter interviewing me was such a doll and made me feel so comfortable. "Let's just wing it. like girlfriends."

Phew.

My husband recorded the show. When I arrived at home Lola inspected my stilettos and Jay asked, "How come you didn't wave back to us mommy? We were waving to you!!!" They had a gazillion questions for me starting with how I actually got into the TV. I foresee a future field trip to the station for a peek behind the scenes.

It was a pleasant experience and why shouldn't it be? Mommy blogging has been very rewarding for me. I have documented some great memories which are a beautiful gift for my children. I have met a group of wonderful mothers whom I have an incredible connection with. I have learned so much more about myself through writing.

Wanna see the interview?

Poor quality and recorded during breakfast... it wouldn't be "Classy Chaos" if there wasn't a dish being thrown to the floor signifying Fifi was done with her breakfast.

I had missed your post where you mentioned that you were doing this interview and then I read it just yesterday, so I raced over here to see if you had posted the interview and here you are! You did a great job - way to go.

It's a little nerve-wracking, isn't it? I enjoyed seeing you and connecting your words now to your voice - very cool. I look forward to meeting you and seeing you in person in SF - we are going to be great friends!

Have a great day and congrats on the fabulous interview. SEe you - Kellan

Jeni said...

You RULE! Did a great job with the interview! I wish that station were one of my "local" ones on our cable so I could have seen in when it aired but nothing wrong with hearing the plates crashing in the background. Normal life is what you depict in your blog -so it just shows a little more of that "normalcy" there!

Again -congrats on getting/doing the interview and for doing it with so much class too! Really makes your blog name that much more appropriate, don't 'cha think?

Kelley said...

Soon there will be paparazzi waiting outside your laptop.

As for teaching the kids about TV, maybe show them the TV scene from Willy Wonka. No wait, that would only confuse them more!

Anyway, good job! And congrats!
