Their conspiracy to keep me from going to BlogHer...

I am thankful to be raising kids in this day and age of electronic plane tickets.

The kiddos have conspired and made plans on how to keep me from going to "Cab-WE-for-knee-ya."

This mama needs a vacation sans kiddos in a bad way. I am requesting to be seated away from ANY CHILDREN under the age of 18 on the plane to San Francisco for the BlogHer conference, this Thursday. I will throw a temper tantrum if seated next to one.

Moving on.

Without further ado, their conspiracy to keep me home:

They are SO ADORABLE.

Don't let them find that ticket! ;-)

I also think it is hilarious that you requested no kids around you seat. You know what will happen right??!!.... you'll be seated in the CENTER of CIRCUS of children. LOL

Have fun at BlogHer! That sounds like fun.

Oh my goodness...they are so cute I will come stay with the little snugglers!!!! JUST kidding!

Have fun at BlogHer...should be a crazy insane time.

I totally understand asking not to be seated around children! When we dine out without the kids, I get so annoyed if we're seated near kids. lol!

Christy said...

So cute! They just don't want Mama to go :)

Enjoy your child-free vacation! I hate to say it but they really are some of the best.

Yes, thank goodness this wasn't 10 or 20 years ago, they might have been able to nab that ticket it and cut it up, lol!!! Good for you - you deserve a break and I hope you have a terrific time :-)

Jenn said...

Crossing my fingers you get your wish...you should ask to get bumped to first class - no kids up there!

Your kiddos really are adorable though.

Have a great time!

They are on a mission to destroy your vaca.....

Since you get to go and I'm not (because I didn't even know what it was) just say my name one time. Krissy at Firecracker. That's it.....just so I feel cool.

Have fun momma!

You can tell them I'll burn all their Webkins and melt all there Littlest Pet Shop toys if they keep you from me.

Adorable- I can say that because they are not mine!

Well, if you request a window seat you've dropped you chances of being next to a child by 50%.

Have fun, enjoy BlogHer.

Thank goodness for the electronic ticketing system because once he mentioned scissors I knew he was serious!!

I'm still mad. Just so you know.

But that was awfully cute! The Bella was in tears the other day that she couldn't come too, and then today she's rushing me out of the door.

She's insistently ensuring that I'll be coming home to her. :)

Oh they better not find that ticket!!!! Seriously, have a BLAST! I know that will be so much fun!

They are so cute how they are devising a plan together to outsmart Mommy out of her vacation.

That is so sweet!!! Have fun on your vacation and you might want to hide those tickets really well.

These kiddos are hardcore planners and they might get to these tickets before you can use them. :)

Don Mills Diva said...

You had better hide the damn scissors!

Seriously.

Chelsea said...

Oh Man! That's funny. I flew near a bunch of "unaccompanied minors" recently. Luckily it was only an hour and 20 minute flight, but you could tell when they had been sitting for too long.
You so deserve a vacation. Have fun.

P.S. This is going to sound so lame, but I recently got my first pair of real heels. I feel like a "big girl" now!

Don't listen to them. They have been brainwashed by an evil man named - DAD.

Too cute, and yes, thank goodness for:

1. CUTE kids
2. A vacation without them
3. electronic tickets!

The video was adorable - your kids are to eat! Have a BLAST at Blogher.

I'm leaving California tomorrow and I'm so bummed I won't be there! If only I had thought about this a few months back when I could have booked my ticket a week later.

Bugger...

Good thing you put your tickets up. Every mom needs a few days to herself. I am glad you get to go and good luck with not getting around any children. This is hilarious! You have adorable children!

I love San Fransisco. My hubby and I went their on our honey moon. Have fun!

Unknown said...

Have fun at BlogHer. San Fran is so much fun - there is so much to see there and taste and smell. Especially that little chocolate factory at the end of Fisherman's Wharf. You can just stand there and fall in love with the smell of that place. Almost enough to make you want to be an oompah loompah in there. 'Cause they work there now, you know. Yeah, they got kicked out of England - something about deviant sexual practices and snotty remarks about the Queen.

Stephanie said...

that is the cutest thing I've seen in a long time! Lola is just precious crinkling up that little nose when she talks. Love it!

Hope you have fun! Jay isn't like a cyber genius is he? In another year or two, that hidden ticket might not be so hidden!!! ;oD

SECRET AGENT MAMA said...

I just busted my gut laughing! OMG, soooo funny...and cute...and precious...and deviously delicious!!

Mary Beth said...

After all the thought they put into their plan, how can you possibly go now? Please send your unused tickets to NJ:)

Truly, they are too cute!

Ali said...

hahaha! love it!

i'm going to be on the plane, with my earbuds in...tuning the entire world out. and i'm going to love every minute of the 5.5 hour flight! yay!

3 days!!

Unknown said...

too cute! p.s. does lola ever shatter glass with that high pitch of hers? just wondering.

Helen Wright said...

Did Daddy put them up to it?!?!

Quarantine Hobby said...

Haha they are too cute! You can always send them to me for a while ;)

I'm flying to CA in August to visit family with my son, and I always *hate* that moment when I sit next to someone with him. Because I know how much they hate me and my baby! Fortunately he's amazingly well behaved. He's never cried on the plane. The worst he does is giggle a lot and try to play with everyone.

Have fun at BlogHer! I'm sure it'll be great. Enjoy your time sans kiddos!

CUTENESS!!!! :-)

Oh, and by the way...i'm blaming you in part for my re-evaluation of my "goals"...your recent posts added to my realization that i'm not living just how i want to live either, missing out on one of my greatest passions that i know i can find a way to fit into my busy days.

They're googling ways to hack into electronic ticketing systems right now. Never underestimate kids' ability to use the internet these days. ;)

Marmarbug said...

Well I must say you have some super duper cuties there!!!
And have a WONDERFUL vacation. You very much deserve it!

Debra Driza said...

If I had a ticket, it wouldn't be my kids trying to eat it, but rather the Ferganator (my spaz-tastic, liver-nosed Ridgeback puppy).

And I'd be so afraid I've have to recover the ticket in a less-than-sanitary manner, and then spend BlogHer by myself in a corner, while everyone in a two-mile radius held their noses and wonder from where that horrid "eau de hound poop" scent was wafting.

So, this is basically my long-winded excuse as to why I won't be attending BlogHer this year.

Manager Mom said...

Oh... I REALLY REALLY wish I could go. Maybe i could team up with your cute kids and perpetrate some sort of identity theft that would allow me to assume your e-ticket!

Ashley said...

So cute!
I hope you have fun at BlogHer!

Good diversion tactic, OM; but honestly, you really need a vacation from that cuteness????!!! (yeah, I get it!)
I wish I were heading there this year; came THIS close. But alas, the stars were not aligned.

Have buckets of fun, and a drink or three for me, 'kay?

Lisa said...

They're so cute they would almost make me want to stay home. Almost!!!

I love how they are so happy with themselves for thinking of cutting it up "into little pieces!"

Hope they weren't cutting up random things around the house.

Have fun on your "vacation" wish I was joining you!

Whatever you do, don't tell them about eTickets - they'll set out to destroy your computer!

Have fun! And even if you're seated near children, you'll still be okay...because they won't be YOURS :) (as adorable as they are, you need a Mommy break. We all do every now and then.)
