What happens when mommy blogs...

We had a very busy Friday planned. Full of activities. I had a bag packed full of snacks and baby bottles ready to go. My cell phone was charged. My hair was straightened. I wore a nice pair of jeans and cute new boots.

However.

A baby pooped in the swimming pool and our lessons were canceled. We planned a play date and later it was canceled. Old Navy had a power outage and could not accept my returns.

We went from a jam packed afternoon to having ZERO plans.

Feeling pretty tired from a full week at home with three kids, one dog, and a husband that completed 28 root canals. I needed some R&R and spent the afternoon reading. Online. And neglected my children for a short time. I sat up. Turned around. And...
I need to restrict my online reading to evenings only.

HAHAHAHA...OhMommy!!!

This is FUNNY!!

Even funnier is that I have pics stored on my computer that I was saving for a similiar post. Kids are so quick to mess the joint up, aren't they???

That is TOO funny!
The husband cleaned up all our toys when he got home today....they are all back out! Excellent start to the weekend!

I need a drink! ;) I mean another

Man, oh man. Ask Mr. Lady...that's what the twin's room looks like ALL the time. We almost lost them in there yesterday. My girls have the master bedroom in our condo as their room/playroom and I don't touch it until the end of the night. I should take pics right now...nightmare-inducing!

umm, once again, is that my little Monkey in that picture? that could be my house too.

Bwah-ha-ha-ha-ha...I'm totally laughing with you and not at you. My house always looks like this on Sunday night. And Wednesday night. And usually Monday night. And often Saturday afternoon. But definitely not on the days when the kids are at daycare all day. :) Solution? Pay for daycare so you can blog. (kidding)

that looks like my house...even when i'm paying attention.
ok, i have a bone to pick!!! i see you stalking huckdoll, and mr. lady and some others...and, i really think you should stalk me, too!!! or...i might have to start stalking you so you'll stalk me, too...ok?

I am so glad I am not the only mom that gets caught up in their online reading, that sort of mess tends to be the norm when I get off the computer! Have a great weekend

My house stayed like this until... who am I kidding, it always looks like that and mine is in his teens.

Amy said...

Too funny! Umm, yeah that is quite a familiar sight around here.
And look at your little puppy, he does look like my dog. Except mine is a little bigger and a mutt and good for nothing.

Oy, isn't it amazing how such small children can completely trash a room in under 60 seconds. It still amazes me...

ROTFL Oh man have I had days like that! The energy that it takes to just 'pack up' for the day is exhausting enough in itself!! You deserve to blog anytime you want....of course I say this to justify all t he blogging I do throughout the day. :)

Thanks for stoppin' by! Happy to make a new BFF! lol :)

Oh, honey. If that's giving you angst, you should never visit my house. It looks like that *all* the time. No, worse actually.

Don't worry - you get used to it after a while.

Anonymous said...

Oh my .. that is hysterical!!! I bet that took them like three seconds to do too!!!

Nice! I am vaguely aware of little people running around here when I'm blogging.

Tell me, do they really need to be fed?

Karen said...

Yep, same thing happens at my house. They KNOW.

Unknown said...

HA! Yup.. that can happen really quick can't it?

It's amazing how colorful plastic stuff just explodes and multiplies, isn't it? There should be scientific studies done.

Hey that looks like my house when I have been on the computer blogging. Are you sure it isn't?

OMG!!! I remember those days! My Hunny would come home from work and say, "Where was the baby sitter?" Exhausting.

And not getting out of the house? The worst! Please tell me you're getting out tomorrow!

LOVE the picture!

Hehe, I was looking at the same livingroom this afternoon. Except none of our stuff is pink. :) We live in an avalanche of blue, green, and red cars, trucks, hotwheels and sports paraphernalia!

Your living room looks like mine on a daily basis. Did you see the pic on my blog of my girls' room?

Tari said...

I saw something like that on one of my posts. I can't believe how fast I zone out. Next week I'm posting what goes in the toilet while mommy's blogging.

Hey...it was a full moon this week so it's not ALL your fault. BTW... Didn't I read one of your comments @ Krissy's site that you were supposed to take today off? Maybe it was meant to be. This was taking the day off for the kids, maybe. ;)

Momisodes said...

LOL! Blog hopping late, late, late...but, wow! That is exactly what my living room looks like every day..and I only have 1 toddler :(

Sorry your afternoon plans fizzled. Hope you have a better weekend!

We(I) cleaned up the toyroom yesterday morning, in the time it took my to do my oldest daughters hair for her crazy hair day, the other two girls had trashed the room again. At least I got to vacuum the floor first *sigh*

That's too funny!
I notice that we have at least 1/2 of those same toys out somewhere around our house. I see that Lola & Fifi love the Bella Cheerleader too - have you tried Bella Dancerella?? My Goosey loves it!

Looks like my house when I've been caught up in blogging. This morning, I'm still in my jammies and there are legos and toys all over the floor. Dishes on the counter too. Oh well!

Irene said...

How true is THAT!? What I want to know is why they can get into so much trouble when I am on the computer, but if I am doing something constructive, like cleaning or laundry, they are angels. Why? Or am I the only one?

Anonymous said...

An all too familiar tale.

Kat said...

for some reason, i thought i already commented on this. sometimes i check something out then mean to go back and forget i didn't. nevertheless, this doesn't look bad by comparison to the way things get here sometimes!!! the only difference is here my family room would be knee deep in army guys and action figures!

hope you have a great weekend!

It never ceased to amaze me how fast children can destroy a house! Look on the bright side; it does not get any better! As they get bigger so do the messes! My 21 year old can come over to visit and wreck the house the house in 12 seconds flat! Amazing!

krissy said...

I was so happy to see your smiling face on my blog again. Your so sweet!

LOL...that pic was hilarious. I've been there sista! At least they had fun while you were surfing the web!
