My husband is nothing short of a saint.
He is an amazing father and an equally amazing husband. The last time I wrote about him I was careful and reserved with my words as not to come off appearing spoiled.
This time around I have no reservations. He is awesome. He spoils me often. And if this blog documents my life then I want my children to know that their father is an incredible husband that works hard to keep our marriage and happiness sacred.
Our children should know this.
Some Sunday ago, I woke up to the aroma of chocolate chip pancakes and the sound of children giggling. I walked downstairs to see my husband flipping pancakes while wearing three tutus and one pink tiara. "You should blog about this." He grinned and accepted a beaded necklace from Fifi.
This past Saturday after a week full of life with three small kids with no lunch hour, no coffee break, no adult conversation over a water cooler, I was stinking exhausted. My husband was busy at work with patients while I was having a horrible, terrible, no-good, very bad Saturday at home. The whining. Crying. Tantrums. Arguing. The works. My husband took one look at me when he got home and barely exchanging words with me he whisked all three of them away. Nearly four hours later and minutes before bath time he arrived with a bouquet of flowers, a "thank you" for being our mom card, and, and, and a pair of classy gold hoop earrings that I have had my eye on at the jewelry store, "The flowers and card are from the kids to apologize and the earrings are from me to congratulate you on finishing 6 weeks of fitness boot camp. I am proud of you. You look so great."
I know.
A saint.
Tonight I think I will make a Sunday pork roast in my pleated skirt and high heels to match the actions of my saint of a husband. Whom is currently across town parading with Jay and Lola at a pumpkin festival while Fifi naps at home and I bathe in bubbles soaking all of my good fortunes in.

I love that picture of him and the kids
What a sweet tribute to your husband! You guys are both lucky!
What a man, what a man, what a mighty good man.
My husband forgot to jump my car this week, so I've had NO CAR. He called last night to make sure I was getting the laundry done. He did make time for a little lovin'...in the MORNING. Ugh.
But....he dropped $500 and took the night off of work on Friday so that I could take my boys to see my favorite band in the whole world play in concert, and when I had to leave early to get the baby, he stayed with them and braved public transit to get them home at midnight.
So I totally forgive him.
That would surely make him a saint! Really - lucky, lucky you!
What a great husband Jay will be someday, and what fabulous men Lola & Fifi will have to find!
You deserve nothing less!
That is so nice. And I think you deserve it. And I'm glad my husband occasionally glances over my shoulder when I read your blog. :)

It's always great to hear about others husbands. I should probably write a post on mine one of these days.
Yay for wonderful husbands! It must be nice, too, knowing that Jay is so lucky to have such a great male role model.
And I'm going to come right out and say it like it is...when you have a guy who is a wonderful husband and father that also LOOKS LIKE THAT? Oh.My.Gosh.Girl!!! How absolutely wonderful it is that, in this whole big world, the two of you found each other. That is also the way it was with my husband and me...I got to know every day that I was adored by him. So nice...
How awesome is he! Go Mr. OHmommy!!
THAT is a keeper! Best wishes for many more years of happiness... if you both keep it up, it's practically guaranteed.
Very nice. I also love the post below! We do the same thing except no longer in our living room since we had an audience of about 8 heighbors the other night. Note to self - close the shades when you are dancing to Enchanted.
I am a 20 year old college student who read your blog daily. This is my first comment to you! You are almost 'idol-like' in my eyes. I hope to be like you one day!
I am printing this off and saving it to give to my future husband : )

What a great guy. I hope I find someone like that someday.
Is it just me or are you married to David Beckham? ; )

He is definatley a keeper, and not just because he looks like David Beckham!
I did not even see the comment above mine when I posted that he looks just like Becks...too funny!
Wow, he is good, very good! I need to figure that one out on my husband!
You should hold back nothing on your blog. Especially when you are praising your husband.
I don't praise mine near enough and tonight, after reading your blog, I realized that I too have a terrific man in my life. And I am soooo thankful.
My husband owes you for writing this and making me realize how great it is to have a wonderful spouse.
I Do believe I will forward this post to my own dear hubby...
Love your man. Glad for you and the kids that he's such a good role model.
Congrats on 6 weeks of exercise bootcamp!! Are you feeling fit?
Wow - see? It is moments like these . . . the give and the take, that help you both get through this crazy ride called parenting!

I have 3 words for you... A-May-Zing.
You are spoiled!
I just read your post to my husband. I'm hoping it will inspire him :)
He really is great, but I could use a nice break like that occasionally.
*swoon*
I wonder if I print out this post and staple it to my husbands forehead I will get me some alone time, flowers and earrings?
You deserve it sweetie.
I LOVE love!!!
That is ultra sweet and honestly sounds like something my hubby would do.
It's hard to find a good guy, when you do, you know you better keep 'em. :)
Especially mine as much as he puts up with my mood swings (hormonally induced by medication). Ha-ha!!!

He is amazing. Please send him over to give lessons to all British men!
How sweet is he?!
I'd love to see the tutu pic :)
You seem to have found yourself a good one. Well done you. On the other hand, it seems he didn't pick too badly, either.

Can I use your husband as an example for mine to follow?
So. So. Jealous

Fantastic picture. And what an amazing guy - I love that he could figure out exactly what you needed, when you needed it. He is one special guy (and you already know that!).
O.M.G., he is amazing! Flippin' pancakes in a tutu and tiara? Whisking children away and returning with gifts and apologies? Complimenting you? And not too hard on the eyes, either?! How can you stand it? ;)
What a doll! I hope you gave him a BIG kiss for that.
You deserve it all!
You must use one hell of a birth control method.
You are a lucky woman indeed!
I'd like to know why you didn't whip out the camera to share a photo of Mr. OhMommy in a tutu?
Saint indeed. I think you might want to keep that one.
Oh my! You definitely are a very lucky woman to have such a great husband. Wow!

Aw with tears in my eyes!! What an amazing father and husband! You are one lucky girl!
OHMommy you are lucky, my husband is on my sh*t list today, but he's slowly redeeming himself. No flowers or earrings, but he bought me Reese's LOL
That's an awesome story.
And is that really your husband? Or did you photoshop in some picture of a male model from the lining of a new frame? He is HAWT.
Hope that doesn't offend.
You are a lucky woman my friend, a very lucky woman.
Awesome husbands are hard to come by, I'm so glad you have one of them!
That is so sweet!
Your affection for each other is so endearing and SUCH a wonderful example and lesson for your children of BOTH genders.
KEEP BELIEVING
You OHMommy, found a prince out there! So lucky! Er, can Your hubs start a class or something for all the other lunkhead husbands who don't have a clue???
Adorable.
And he's pretty handsome too!
Seriously, I love reading stuff like this - having children changes us all so much as individuals and as couples. You are so lucky to have such a wonderful man who can so clearly read your needs without you needing to ask, and treats you like the Queen you are! You truly are an example of a couple who will last through the years and set an amazing example for your children.
Oh, and if you lived closer, you guys would be the couple DH and I would be wanting to do dinner with.
He is sweet! Congratulations on a great guy.
I love him and I've never even met him! (Shhh! Don't tell my husband I just said that).
Awww, how awesome! I love it when my hubby surprises me like that although it's been few and far between of late what with our crazy schedules.
he so is the best daddy and husband!! glad you recognize it to all of us in blog-reader land and you, yourself!! now, stop blogging and go do something for him that involves nothing but you, him and being horizontal!!
Wow, you really married Mr. Perfect. What a sweetheart! You're very lucky.
Oh Mommy, he IS a saint. I have one too. Aren't we lucky?
Don't ever feel ashamed of your good fortune ! Feel proud and spoil him right back ! Your children should know exactly what kind of man, husband and father they have !
Your hubs is lookin' fine in that picture! Aviator sunglasses suit him nicely!
Isn't it so nice to have an amazing husband!
XOXO
What a great post! Your hubby sounds like a keeper.
PS: Great photo...love the sunglasses!
