Subject: You don't want to miss this!
Dear Hannah Montana,
Some months ago I told my daughter that her birthday fell shortly after the New Year, in March. BIG mistake For the last 21 days we have been actively discussing where to hold the venue, what the theme should be, and who we should invite.
She was rather disappointed when I told her that the bounce house was rather expensive and that it was too cold in March for a pool party and there was no way that I wanted to be held accountable for twenty-two five year olds ice skating. So, together, we decided that we would entertain her guests at home.
"An almost night time drop off awesome Hannah Montana dance disco and pretend makeup fun with pizza and cup cakes in the basement birthday party." Is what our final invitation says.
And I am delighted to let you know that you made the final cut on her guest list. The proper invitations (the old invites have traces of pink eye germs) won't be mailed out for weeks so consider this email a save-the-date for March 13th, 2009. The party will take place *here* in our Cleveland basement from 5 to 7 pm and the guests of honor is requesting that everyone come dressed as a rock star and have their dancing shoes on.
Please let me know if you have any of the nut or milk or wheat allergies that some of her preschool friends have.
Warmly,
OHmommy
Ps. Kindly RSVP by sending me an email at classychaos@gmail dot com
Pss. Her favorite song is "Let's Dance." I kinda of really like it too and please note that the video is dated and I have got some new moves in store for her disco dance party.
Psss. Please, if you do come, don't mention that you have your own show on Disney. I'm just not ready to go there. Yet. She thinks you are just a rock star. And she too wants to be one.

i am SO relieved that my girls aren't in to her music. but...that would be most little girls dream...to have hannah montana show up for their b'day party!!
good luck!
I'm so afraid of HM/MS taking over our lives.
I may be safe seeing as my girls are 3 & 4 and don't yet watch regular Disney Channel.
Fingers crossed they like Dora for at least another 5 years. It can happen.
Is it okay to be thankful that I don't have girls right now? ; )
Seriously, I bet it's going to be a great party!
Oooh, can I come??? I look great covered in pink glitter....
oh that is so cute...I'm glad I'm not having a hannah montana party though...your a much better mommy than I! :)
~K
I hope we are invited because, knowing you, Hannah will actually come. I don't think it would even surprise me.
You're totally in for it when she discovers the TV show. lol
Fun party idea. You're going to have your hands full.
We are having a Hannah Montana party this coming Friday. My Princess is turning eight. I'd rather have you there than Hannah! lol I'm not a fan........but I do this for love. :sigh:
That sounds like a great party. I can't wait to see photos of this soiree.
I hope the Birthday Girl has a fabulous celebration.
I love this post!
Haha!!
At least its not a letter to Dear Barney!!Yep-my Lil Princess is in love with him!
I hope Hannah shows up!! What a great sounding party... wouldn't mind having a similar one for my friends.
I know I outta be ashamed right now, but I will jam 'Rockstar' quite loudly in the car. Alone or with kids. However, I am the biggest H.M. fan in the Smart A$$ household.
Yikes! 22 screaming 5 yr olds in your basement. Sorry, I'm, uh, I'm, mm, washing my hair that night. But take pictures, cuz I would love to see them.
Oh, aren't you ever so lucky! I am so glad we aren't at the HM state....but I just know that there will be some other girl just like her in about 3 years that my girls will swoon over!
Thanks goodness Lola hasn't discovered the show!!
So cute! I love that the originals were tainted with pink eye germs. I mailed out Christmas cards one year with that. I hear it's the new black of invites. ;)
Cute!
The birthday party planning just gets more and more fun!
We're down to 18 days from today and I've actually managed to make sure that the birthday party is happening ON her fourth birthday!
I'm praying she doesn't announce to her entire preschool that they're all invited, because appropriate invites have already gone out, and she's just that kind of gal . . .
Let us know what you hear from Miley!
Can I come? I never get to be a little girl anymoe and let's face it - once we are in our mid-30's we really want to be one again.
KEEP BELIEVING
How cute!
Lola, Happy Early Birthday Rockstar!
Awww...Lola is going to have an AWESOME 5th birthday party. Hopefully, we will get to see awesome pictures and/or video of the festivities! :)
I just love the little hand clutching the Crayola marker; I think this girl is ALWAYS going to keep you on your toes. But, then again...the Feenster could do the same. Jay, as the older brother of these two, will probably be shaking his head a lot....HA! They are SO fun and I'm glad you share with us.
That's cute - with Hannah actually on the list!
Good luck with that, OhMommy!
That's sweet. Wouldn't it be cool to get at least a fan letter back?
If she doesn't come, she will totally regret it.
March 13th is my birthday! Check out http://www.allaboardtoys.com/hannah-montana/.
They have all the characterware at cheap cheap prices and frequent sales.
That is really just too cute!! My Em is TOTALLY into Barbie right now, I think I may have a couple more years before she gets into the other things?? ;)
Woo hoo! I want to come to the ROCKIN' PARTY too.
Linda
Oh - you are such a nice mommy - I don't even allow Hannah Montana in my house - no shape or form!
For Lola's sake, I hope she shows up. For your sake, I hope she doesn't talk about her TV show. And Lola is already a rock star.
enjoy the festivities.
lucky for me, our little girl is only 6months old.
certainly there won't be any pop princesses famous in 3-5 years that she can idolize.
right??
Well I for one hope she shows. :) What fun! Much better than a tea party. And one more thing? We want to see video!
lol...good luck on that one!!
I bet she's going to LOVE that! My Punky is having her princess dress up party this Saturday. My eldest is turning 3...so bittersweet!
i'm dying to know if Hannah montana has a nut or wheat allergy.
How fun! They are going to have a blast!
When I asked Jonah who he wanted to invite to his birthday party also in March he told me Diego!
Ahhh... the day my stepdaughter turned 9 she realized that Hannah Montana was really not "all that." That day may trump my wedding day and the birth of my two sons as the best day of my entire life.
Ok just watched the Shamelessy burning Calories video and it's awesome. I love how Murphy gets in on the action. I know my Wickett (pug) would do the same thing. Hope Hannah can make it to the party.
Well I hope you will be excited if she shows up. i for one, am glad that I have a son because I'm not sure I could handle the Hannah M phase. Although I suppose having your toddler son being fascinated with Dora the Explorer isn't going to be much more fun when planning his birthday party!
If Hannah Montana can make it, invite me too and I will bring the wheat-free, dairy-free cake (egg-free too.)
my (almost) 5 year old just bought a hannah montana hair-do kit at target over the weekend for supah cheap.
so ... now we have pink hair. and glitter. lots o' glitter.
if hannah can't make it ... let me know. stella will totally be there. she's turning 5 ... 3/28 ...
on second thought. no. i don't want her to get any silly ideas. right now, she's thinking we can go to hawaii for her b-day. that would be so much better. for me.
My daughters LURV Hannah Montana. They are 3 and 6. In fact my 6-year-old had a party at a local dance studio last summer and the theme was Tinkerbelle slash Hannah Montana.
p.s. uh...I love that song, too (hides in corner!)
That is so cute! Wouldn't that just be awesome if Hannah actually showed up.
i'm sure it will be my girlies lovin' some hm soon...maybe too soon. although i have seen the show...it isn't THAT bad...
Sounds like it is going to be one rockin party!!
22 five year olds in your basement....GOOD LUCK:)
Lisa
Have a GREAT time. Having just done the at-home 5th birthday party (but invited only 6 guests, not 22), I can tell you it's lots of fun. Also? Don't bother with lots of games. They'll just run around and be silly and play. Happy (early) Birthday, Lola!
hey there-
thanks for the sweet comment about the hilarious wedding photo! my sister in-law took that from a long ways away and it's a really poor resolution photo. i just think it's so freakin' funny.
have a good evening!
Cute post and cute story!! I think she might just be a rock star already - I know her mom is!!
See you soon - Kellan

Two comments ~ #1. I have a son that shares her birthday ! #2. how in the world do you keep her from knowing about the disney channel ? I wish I had been that smart mommy ! Nope I throughly encouraged it ! Yikes, now I regret it.
Oh too cute. How awesome would it be if she really showed up?
I'm a little behind here. Did she say she was coming yet???
Cuz I so don't want to miss this!!
(And I'm totally with you about not mentioning the tv show. The shows that my kids don't know about....) ;)
NICE! Even Sweeter that Hannah was 3rd on the list. kate and sophia must be HOT STUFF!! But can they sing? Yeah, they probably have their own reality show tho.
